Officer of the Watch helps you to find private tutors as you progresses through the ranks from Cadet to Qualified Officer and right through to Master Mariner/Chief Engineer. All of the tutors offer one to one personal tutoring however given the dispersed nature of the Maritime Industry private one to one tutoring via Skype is also offered by the majority of tutors.

I have 13 years experience as a Maritime Lecturer having worked in senior roles for Edexcel UK, AMET University (In Partnership with City of Glasgow Nautical College), Plymouth University, South Tyneside College and City of Glasgow Nautical College.

Prior to teaching I spent 22 years working in the Indian Navy leaving the service as a Commander followed by 7 years working in the Merchant Navy sailing latterly as a Captain. I have experience on bulk carriers, product tankers, general cargo ships, offshore supply vessels and missile vessels and I've spent two years in charge of Port Operations and Control at a busy port.

I come from a passenger ship background and have a BEng (Hons) Marine Engineering & Management and am a qualified teacher.

I spent Fifteen years at sea on general cargo vessels, inclusive of: Container, Passenger, Ro-Ro, Reefer, with some bulk cargo additions. World- wide trades into Atlantic , Pacific and Indian oceans. Extensive coastal work about the UK, near continent, Baltic Sea, US and Canadian waters, Caribbean and South American waters.
